Fine Support for Fine Music
At Holy Trinity, there
is a strong tradition of fine music where a fine pipe-organ
might be expected. However, space constraints make it impossible for a pipe-organ
with a specification equal to the demands of the music program. The situation is
ideal for a fine, custom digital instrument.
Despite the lack of space for pipes, this organ has a standard, AGO-spec, pipe-organ console with draw-knobs, fine wood-core keys and all the amenities of a concert pipe-organ. The specification is large enough to allow playing just about all organ repertoire. It is a fine instrument for teaching and for practice.
As large as the specification is, the audio system and the voicing have been meticulously adjusted to make this organ comfortable in this smaller setting. There is even a small, independent antiphonal division so that the fine sound of the organ is evenly distributed throughout the room without being too loud in any one place.
The combination of the pipe-organ console, the substantial specification, the high-end, multi-channel audio system and the detailed voicing combine to make this organ a solid foundation for the music program and for the longer-term musical objectives of this active church.
